Gainsborough: Best In School award celebrate our education superstars
From teachers and admin staff to pupils and sports teams - all the people who help to make our schools excellent places to learn and develop were honoured.
Danny Oakes, who presents Capital FM’s Breakfast Show Hirsty’s Daily Dose, was on hand to present the winners with their trophies on the night.

Hide AdWe received hundreds of nominations across 13 categories, and our panel of judges had a difficult job selecting the winners.
Danny said it was fantastic to celebrate the achievements of those people who work hard to make our education system a great one.
“The education system in this country deserves a lot more credit than it gets,” he said.
“There are some great people working in our schools and it is events like this that prove that.”

Standard Editor Ben Green said it had been a very difficult process to pick the final 13 winners.
“We have had plenty of local success stories from across Gainsborough and many heartwarming stories as well,” he added.
