Christmas has officially begun in Boston - with the town centre awash with lights and festivities last night.
The first Illuminate event in the town saw a precession of children carrying hand-made lanterns of various shapes and sizes.
This will form part of the upcoming Mayflower 400 celebration in 2020 to mark the 400-year anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower.
This year’s Christmas switch-on saw its own Mayflower - albeit a scale model one - carried through the town as part of the precession organised by Transported Arts.
Crowds also enjoyed entertainment on stage, market stalls open until late and Santas grotto in Pescod Square.
