‘GENEROUS folk’ in Boston have helped to raise a whopping £7,432.64 for Christian Aid Week.
Participants took part in a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge back in May to raise the cash.
“The figure reflects the generosity of folk in the Boston area,” said Brian Newton, co-ordinator for Christian Aid, Boston and District.
He added: “I would like to thank the Boston Standard readers and all who contributed to the collections, the sponsors, the 40-plus volunteers and those who held coffee mornings “
The money will go to Christian Aid’s appeal to end global poverty.
