THE chance to have your name carved into stone at Boston’s iconic Stump is being offered.
St Botolph’s Church is inviting people to help with the restoration of the north face of the tower by sponsoring a stone. In return they can have their name, initials or a short massage carved onto the 700-year-old church.
The vicar of Boston, the Rev Canon Robin Whitehead said: “This is a unique opportunity to help with the restoration of our magnificent tower as well as having a message carved into our famous church forever.”
There are six parapet stones on offer, costing £200 each. The stones can takes letters or messages up to 20 characters.
