The body responsible for hospitals across Lincolnshire is celebrating success in terms of the education provided to medical students.
Four consultants with the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust involved in training undergraduates have been awarded honorary associate or assistant professorships.
The appointments have been made by the University of Nottingham in recognition of their contributions to undergraduate education through the trust.
They include two linked to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital.
l Sunday Ikhena, consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology and director of medical education, who covers the whole trust and has been appointed honorary clinical associate professor.
l Dr Koshy Jacob, consultant diabetologist at Pilgrim Hospital, who has been appointed honorary consultant assistant professor.
