EAST Lindsey Active, a health walks programme for people who take little or no exercise, has been awarded a national accreditation from Walking for Health.
Launched by East Lindsey District Council in November 2007, it is a programme of walks and Nordic walks that takes place across the area.
Normally between one and three miles in length, there are walks to suit most needs.
They are free of charge and led by experienced walk leaders.
The accreditation recognises that the walks are well-organised and professionally run.
Scheme Co-ordinator, Tracey Richardson, said “The walks are great way to keep fit.
“Walking is such a great way to explore your local area and improve your health.”
The council will be launching a new East Lindsey Active programme soon.
