Heating issues at Boston Library is resulting in temporary closures.

Lincolnshire County Council has said it has been experiencing ‘intermittent issues’ with the heating system at the resource, based at County Hall, off the Market Place, over the last few days.

A spokesman said: “At times the building has been too cold to be open, forcing us to close temporarily. However, it is currently open.

“We are liaising with the landlord to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

“In the meantime, we are automatically renewing books for affected customers and have placed a drop-off bin in the foyer for when the library is closed.”

Anyone planning to visit the library is advised to call in advance on 01522 782010.
