A history graduate from Boston wants to arrange events to mark the anniversary of the start of the First World War.
Former Boston Grammar School pupils Michael Hallett wants to see poetry readings, school history sessions and church services in Boston – and wants to hear from people who can help arrange a programme next November.
Michael said: “War is nothing to be proud of but there is something to be proud of for those who took part. It will obviously be a sombre tone but we want to make it relevant to people in Boston.”
He is keen to show the human stories of Bostonians who went to war – and get in touch with their surviving relatives.
He hopes to form a group that could get funding to put on events and wants to include the migrant population.
