A team of cyclists from Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital are biking 106km in aid of the Butterfly Hospice.
Eleven members of staff from the theatres department will be cycling from Boston Town Football Club, along the River Witham today (Sunday), at 9.30am.
Dr Rajesh Jaganathan, consultant anaesthetist and team leader said: “The Butterfly Hospice do an amazing job looking after patients who are in need of end of life care. The team have been extremely enthusiastic and we have so far had a turbo training day at the hospital, a buffet and a raffle to raise money. The support and encouragement from friends, family and colleagues has been overwhelming. It’s a great way to build relationships through team work in your workplace or to take it up as a personal challenge, at the same time raising money for a very noble cause.”
