HUNDREDS attended the Lativian festival at Boston last weekend to celebrate Midsummer.
About 900 visited The Princess Royal Sports Arena for the festival on June 25, including many who travelled from as far as Ireland, London and Liverpool.
The all-day event included a variety of activities, dancing around a bonfire, games, concerts and traditional Latvian food stalls.
Organiser Ziedonis Barbaks said: “It went very well but sadly the rain on Friday night reduced the numbers as many were put off camping. But the atmosphere and weather on Saturday was very good with many saying they would like to return to next year’s event.”
