Kirton Kids Club had a double birthday celebration recently when the club marked its 16th year - it fell on the same day one of its young members also turned six.
The children chose their own menu for the special occasion which took place at an evening session in the club, based in Kirton Youth Centre, High Street.
The also chose what they would like to wear to the celebrations.
The day coincided with little Lilly Ella Reid’s (pictured right) sixth birthday.
She was given the honours of blowing out the candles on the Kids Club birthday cake. All children went home with a present, goodies and cake.
A spokesman for the club said: “The children enjoyed their party and played good old-fashioned party games during the session.
“The club was buzzing with music and the laughter of children having a wonderful time.”
Kirton Kids Club provides good, affordable childcare for working parents/carers in the area, those starting in education or those with children who simply wanted something fun to do after school.
They offer a variety of activities for children and encourage healthy eating.
Over the years the afternoon sessions have been extended to breakfast club too and these run from 7.30am to school time, and after school up to 5.45pm term time.
