A BOSTON Hospice is inviting people to remember loved ones at a special service at the beginning of next month.
St Barnabas Hospice’s annual Light up a Life Service will take place at the town’s Centenary Methodist Church, in Red Lion Street, on December 8, at 6.30pm.
It will remember loved ones by lighting a candle in their honour at the Light Up A Life Service.
It will also include carols and readings by staff and volunteers of St Barnabas Boston Day Hospice and will aim to raise money for the charity.
Barbara Pickwell. who was a volunteer at St Barnabas for more than 15 years, has attended the services for 10 years and remembers her husband Eric, a gardner at the hospice.
She said: “They give me a sense of peace and a time to reflect on the loved ones I have lost.
“It is a lovely and uplifting way to remember them each year in the company of many others who are in the same situation.
“Boston is very fortunate to have such a caring, progressive and professional Hospice service that is St Barnabas Hospice.”
