A number of local veterans, residents and councillors joined together for an early morning commemoration in Mablethorpe to mark Anzac Day.

The day remembers those who fought in the WW1 Gallipoli landings of April 25, 1915.

Thousands of troops, far from their homes, stormed the beaches on the Gallipoli Peninsula in what is modern-day Turkey.
