Man questioned over racist tweet made after Sheffield Wednesday match
Police have interviewed a teenager after racist messages were posted on Twitter following a Sheffield Wednesday match last Monday.
The 18-year-old voluntarily attended a police station on Friday and was spoken to under caution in connection with one tweet posted after the match against Charlton Athletic.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Enquiries into the racist messages continue.”
“South Yorkshire Police will not tolerate any racial or discriminative content on social media sites.”
