Misterton: Councillor walked the length of Hadrian’s Wall for charity
The first of two Misterton women walking for local charity, Joel – the Complete Package, has completed her sponsored walk.
District Coun Hazel Brand walked the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise funds for Joel, which supports families after the loss of a baby and aims to refurbish a birth room at Bassetlaw Hospital suitable for them.
Next, Nicola Needham is tackling a 13-mile trek in the Peak District in September.
Hazel said: “It was Nicola that first introduced me to this charity as she had personal experience of losing not one but two babies. I thought this was a wonderful cause to support.”
