A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed after he collided with a car in East Kirkby on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the accident on the A155 Main Road, at about 5.40pm, when the man’s red Ducati 1000cc motorcycle and the grey Jaguar car collided.
David Blackburn, 53, from West Keal, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jaguar, a 56-year-old man from Cambridge, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and later released on police bail for further enquiries.
This incident brings the number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this year to 13 compared with eight at the same time last year and is the third motorcyclist to be killed.
