BRIAN Kenneth Sawer (Ginge), of Hardiway, Boston, has died suddenly at home.
He was 70.
Born in Boston, he lived in the area for his entire life.
A married man, he leaves behind wife Doreen and daughter Alison.
During his working life he enjoyed a wide and various career, which included jobs in engineering and road construction, working as a delivery man for bread, milk and Calor gas and working as a self-employed gardener and handyman. He retired in 2006.
Away from work, he was a member of Old Leake Country Music Club and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. He was a Boston United supporter and enjoyed sight-seeing, bird-watching, gardening and DIY. He was a family man.
Mr Sawer’s funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Simon Dowson.
Chief family mourners were: Doreen Sawer (wife), Alison Sawer (daughter), Margaret and Johnny Newbold and Dorothy and Ken Stubbs (sisters and brothers-in-law), Reg Sawer (brother), Helen Sawer (sister-in-law), Doris Thomas (mother-in-law), Dick and Jean Thomas and June and Dene Davy (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), David Thomas (brother-in-law), and cousins, nephews and nieces.
