Mr Charles Raymond Carrott (Ray)

CHARLES Raymond Carrott (Ray), of Mill Road, Bicker, has died at home following an illness.

He was 81.

Born in Threekingham, he moved to Bicker while very young and lived in the area for 80 years.

A married man, he is survived by wife Beryl, sons Graham, John and Ian, grandchildren Debbie, Paul, Matthew, Laura, Emily and Daniel, and great-grandchild Austin.

Mr Carrott was a farmer all his working life.

He held an interest in the West Holland Growers Club and was a committee member of the Bicker Charity.

Mr Carrott was also involved in the Bicker Threshing Day each year.

His funeral took place at Bicker Church and was followed by interment. The service was officiated by the Rev J. Dumar.

Chief family mourners were: Beryl Carrott (wife), Graham, John, and Ian Carrott (sons), Pauline, Judy and Alison Carrott (daughters-in-law), Debbie, Paul, Matthew and Daniel Carrott and Laura and Emily Clarke (grandchildren), and Austin Simpson (great-grandchild), Barry and Elaine Early, Ken and Helena Early, Nigel and Rosalyn Early, Ken and Dorothy Moses, Robin and Sandra Moses and Neil Williams (nephews), Sandra Gaunt (niece representing Marjorie Early, sister-in-law), Pam Wright, Maureen and Alan Williams, Jayne and Ted Cartwright, Sharon and Andrew Ball, Corrina Wood, Carol Palmer and Joanne Tait (nieces) and Helen and Jeff Holliday, Stephen Carrott, Geoff and Rita Smith and Bill Smith (cousins)
