CHARLES Thomas Fulforth (Tom), of Manor Gardens, Boston, has died at the Tulip Suite in Spalding, following a long illness.
He was 84.
He was born in Helpringham Fen.
A married man, he leaves behind wife Mavis, son Michael, step-daughters Jayne and Maxine and grandchildren James, Alice, Mary, Adam and Matthew.
Mr Fulforth was a farmer during his working life. He spent his childhood on the family farm at Helpringham Fen and then took tenancy of a council farm in Wyberton in the late 1950s with his first wife Jean and son Michael. He later moved to two further farms in Kirton. Jean died in 1980 and Mr Fulforth married in 1982.
He was a founder member of Wyberton Cricket Club, chairman of the Boston and District Cricket League, member and chairman of Kirton Bowls Club and member of Boston Bowling Club and indoor club.
He also enjoyed sequence dancing at St Thomas Church Hall and Kirton Town Hall and was a member of the Probus Club of Boston.
His funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation, The service was officiated by Andrew Key.
Chief family mourners were: Mavis (wife), Michael and Trish Fulforth (son and daughter-in-law), Jayne and David Woodthorpe (stepdaughter and husband), Maxine Bainbridge (stepdaughter), Alice and Mary Fulforth and Adam Bainbridge (grandchildren).
