CYRIL Taylor, of Blue Street, Boston, has died at Pilgrim Hospital following a short illness.
He was 94.
Born on Sibsey Road, Boston, he lived in this area his whole life.
A widower, he is survived by daughter Glynis Taylor, and nephews and nieces Roger Broughton, Malcolm Taylor, Carol Avery, John Taylor, Bas Chapman and Stuart Taylor.
During his working life he was a farmer and had a small holding at Freiston Ings, near Boston.
After moving to Boston, he worked as a supervisor at Swell Foods until retiring in 1964.
He enjoyed DIY and woodwork, meeting friends for a natter in town and looking around the Wednesday and Saturday markets.
His funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Chris Wedge.
Chief family mourners were: Glynis Taylor (daughter), Roger and Margaret Broughton and daughter Angela (nephew and family), Jenny Cobb and Lonnie (niece and great-nephew), Stuart Taylor (nephew), Pam Gardiner (niece) Terry and Yvonne Tuplin, Ronnie and Rose Tuplin and Bas Chapman (nephews).
