JOHN Leachman (Jack), of Parthian Avenue, Boston, has died following heart failure.
He was 86.
Born in Wyberton, he lived in this area his whole life.
A married man, Mr Leachman is survived by wife Marjorie, sons David, Alan, Colin and Andrew and daughter Jean.
Mr Leachman worked at United Canners, J&J Beaulah and Lockwoods on Norfolk Street as a motor mechanic, and as part of the Home Guard.
He retired in 1990.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening and was a member of the Blind Society.
His funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation.
The service was officiated by his nephew, the Rev James Gray.
Chief family mourners were: Marjorie Leachman (wife), David Leachman (son), Jean Hill (daughter), Colin and Susan Leachman and Alan and Elaine Leachman (sons and daughters-in-law), Andrew Leachman (son), Angela (son’s partner), Christina and Andrew Jarvis (granddaughter and husband), Tracy Hill (granddaughter), Richard and Emma Leachman (grandson and wife), David, Alexander and Matthew Leachman (grandsons), Abigail, Grace, Max and Ben (great-grandchildren) nephews, nieces and other family members.
