Mr Roger James Morley

ROGER James Morley, of Allington Garden, Boston, has died peacefully at home following a short illness.

He was 76.

Born in Wyberton, he lived in this area for 36 years.

A married man, he is survived by wife Irene, sons Kevin and Stephen, daughter Jean, grandchildren Cara, Luke, Jake, Lewis, Oliver, Thomas, Joshua and Katherine and great-granddaughter Maddison.

Mr Morley worked as a buyer in the steel and chemical industry, moving to Boston in 1975 to take over running the family business J. Morley Sports Ltd.

He enjoyed spending time with the family and was a keen amateur chef.

He also enjoyed playing bowls, fishing, golf, snooker and bridge.

In the ‘90s he was a match secretary and press officer for the Boston and District Bowls league.

His funeral took place at the Holy Trinity Church and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Simon Dowson.

Chief family mourners were: Irene Morley (wife), Kevin and Jane Morley and Stephen and Beverley Morley (sons and daughters-in-law), Jean Winfield (daughter), Cara Upsall and Katherine Winfield (granddaughters), Luke Morley and Lucy Green, Lewis Morley and Suzie and Oliver Morley and Dan Wilson (grandsons and partners), Jake and Heidi Morley (grandson and wife), Thomas Winfield and Joshua Morley (grandsons), Mr and Mrs D. Farmer (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs I. Farmer (nephew and wife), Mrs S. Winks and Mr P. Cannon (niece and partner), Mrs J. Crowley (niece), Mr and Mrs G. Kopka, Mrs A. Thompson, Mr D. Firth and Mr A. Firth. (cousins).
