BARBARA Elizabeth Baker (Betty), has died at The Georgians, in Boston, following an illness.
She was 87.
Born in Boston, she lived in the area her entire life.
Widow of the late Harold, Mrs Baker is survived by sisters Hazel Skinner and Pat Upsall, nieces Gill Fisher and Penny Fixter and nephew Andrew Skinner.
Mrs Baker was a personal secretary, cashier and bookkeeper for Wing and Co, on Mitre Lane, Boston, from 1941-74.
She loved gardening, reading and completing crosswords and enjoyed the countryside.
She also enjoyed family car journeys, spotting wildlife, birds and a variety of landmarks.
The East Coast and the Wolds which were two of her favourite destinations.
She had treasured memories of holidays with her late mother Edith and husband Harold in Scotland and north Wales.
Mrs Baker’s funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by Father Paul Noble.
Chief family mourners were: Hazel and Brian Skinner (sister and brother-in-law), Pat Upsall (sister), Gill and John Fisher and Penny and Mick Fixter (nieces and partners), Andrew Skinner (nephew), Chris and Jo Fisher (great-nephew and wife) and Sally and Duncan Mutter (great-niece and husband).
Unable to attend: Katy and Simon Hall (great-niece and husband) and Nick Fisher and partner Tracey (great-nephew).
