EILEEN Constance Blunden, of Heather Close, Boston, has died at home following a very brief illness.
She was 91.
Born in Ashtead, Surrey, she had lived in the area for 12 years.
A married woman, she leaves behind husband Gerald, daughter Ann and granddaughters Zoe and Veronica.
Mrs Blunden inspected spitfires during the Second World War and later became a housewife.
Her interests were reading, attending Boston Baptist Church and spending time with her family.
Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation.
The service was officiated by her son-in-law, Maj David Radford.
Chief family mourners were: Gerald Blunden (husband), Ann Radford (daughter), Zoe and Veronica (granddaughters), David and Gill Blunden (nephew and wife) and Philip Blunden (great-nephew).
