JOYCE Irene Lea, of Tattershall Road, Boston, has died following a short illness.
She was 83.
Born in Swineshead, she moved to Boston when she married her late husband Arthur.
She leaves behind son Alan.
Mrs Lea spent much of her life as a housewife, and worked for a short time at Mrs Taylor’s Tattershall Road playgroup.
She was a former chairman of the Boston Royal British Legion Women’s Section and also enjoyed bingo.
Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Jacqui Morton.
Chief family mourners were: Alan Lea (son), Mr and Mrs D. Townsend and Mr and Mrs M. Lea (nephews and wives), Mrs B. Wright (niece), Mr and Mrs B. Mason (niece and husband), Mr R. Lea and Mr B. Lea (nephews), Mrs M. East, Mrs J. Pell, Mrs I. Kirk and Mr B. Dawson (cousins).
Unable to attend: Mrs N. Epton (sister-in-law).
