LUCY Rose Peatling, of the Gardens Residential Home, has died at Pilgrim Hospital, following a fall and a chest infection.
She was 101.
Born in Benington, she had lived in the area for her entire life.
A widow, she leaves behind sons Peter and Ron Peatling and grandchildren Kevin, Sandra, Steve and Gary Peatling.
During her working life she was employed in domestic help.
Away from work, her interests included reading, and completing crosswords and puzzle books. She also kept up correspondence with friends and relatives and enjoyed watching quiz shows and snooker on the television.
Her funeral took place at Boston Crematorium and was followed by cremation. The service was officiated by the Rev Andrew Higginson.
Chief family mourners were: Peter Peatling and Ron Peatling (sons), Kevin Peatling, Sandra Parker, Stephen Peatling and Gary Peatling (grandchildren), Marcus Peatling, Chris Peatling, Zoe Courtney and Chantelle Parker (great-grandchildren), Bob Buttery, Fred and Joy Buttery, Norman Buttery, Mrs B. Coy, Mrs D. Cobb, Mr D. Peatling, Mr and Mrs R. Smith, Mr and Mrs M. Bland, Mrs J, Rodgers, Mr K. Carrington and Mrs D. Peatling (nephews and nieces).
