The name of the motorcyclist who died following a serious collision on the A52, in Old Leake, has been re-released by police as Dave Davies - not Malcolm Davies as earlier stated.

An updated statement on the police’s website said the name replaced an earlier release.

Mr Davies, aged 70 from Boston, died in hospital following the crash on Sunday, October 11.

Also involved in the incident were a tractor, a car and a police vehicle.

The incident was originally referred by Lincolnshire Police to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, however, the IPCC later confirmed it would not be investigating.

The reason for the change of name has not yet been given.
