Notts: Health boost for all residents
The document titled ‘Our Strategy for Health and Wellbeing in Nottingham 2014 – 2017’ has been published by Nottinghamshire County Council following approval by the Health and Wellbeing Board in March.
The strategy which draws on an assessment of health needs in county, sets out the board’s four key ambitions for the people of Nottinghamshire.

Coun Joyce Bosnjak, chair of the Nottinghamshire Health and Wellbeing Board said: “The Health and Wellbeing Board is all about providing leadership, strategy and integration to the various partners that have a role health and social care locally, including GPs, hospitals and social services.”
“We want to make sure that we’re giving people the best start in life, that we help them to live healthily, and that we are doing as much as we can to support people to live independently, reducing their need for traditional health and social care services.”
“Having the board gives us a great opportunity to identify those key things.”
The Health and Wellbeing Strategy was finalised following a period of consultation in the autumn of 2013.
The strategy document will be available online in more detail shortly.
