Notts police officer convicted of common assault

PC Gary Nicholls, 43, appeared at Derby Magistrates’ Court this week.

The offence took place in Felley Nook Lane, Ranskill, on January 31.

PC Nicholls was not on duty at the time of the incident.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered pay £680 costs.
