CROWDS flocked to Boston Fire Station for their recent open day, where the public got to try their hand at being a firefighter.
Youngsters got the chance to sit in engines and also use the hoses. There was also live demonstartions, so people could see how the professionals worked.
Other emergency services also supported the event in Robin Hoods Walk.
Any proceeds made will go to the Fire Fighters Charity.
Tom Patrick, watch commander support for East Division, said: “It’s not just about the life-threatening emergencies we deal with, but also the work we do to make our community a safer place to live.”
