The final phase of a 180-plus home development in Boston has been approved, again.

A total of 26 homes will be built on land off Grayling Way as part four of De Montfort Housing’s development.

The plans were originally approved in December 2018, however, the developer returned to Boston Borough Council with a series of changes.

They include turning the house types from entirely three bedroom homes to a mixture of one, two and three-bed properties.

The entire phase will also now be classed as “affordable” housing.

Outline planning permission was granted for up to 200-homes on the site in 2013.

So far, 123 affordable homes have been built.

Approving the plans, officers said: “The design and layout of the proposed development are acceptable and…will not adversely harm residential amenity or highway safety.”

As part of the plans, the applicant has agreed to provide 0.6 hectares of allotment land, play equipment and CCTV cameras.
