Santa finds way to help charities with fun runs at Christmas
The Rotary Club of Skegness have raised thousands of pounds over the years for local causes, including Meals at Home, Skegness Food Bank and the 'Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance'.
Normally, the event attracts numerous competitors and is held along the seafront but to ensure it still happens socially distanced organisers have developed two new versions.

Organisers only ask that the Santas take photos and videos of their event and upload to the SkegnessSantaFunRun Facebook page.
Local people are asked to register, get their Santa suit on and carry out their own safe fun run raising money through registering for £12 and hopefully picking up donations from people along the way.
So far, they have raised nearly £600 in this way but want to raise more if possible.

This is going to consist of. the whole squad, approximately 15 to 20 players, and some wives will be pushing the scrum machine in pairs for 50 lengths of the rugby pitch, to complete the equivalent 5km fun run, while wearing full Santa suits.
There will be plenty of room to maintain safe social distancing and to adhere to the strict Tier 3 rules.
