A new care home near Boston is appealing for help in spreading festive cheer among its residents this Christmas.

Avocet House, part of The Quadrant, at Wyberton, is inviting family, friends and, members of the community to hang a message, poem, card, or ornament on a Christmas tree that has been set up outside its front door.

The aim, the team says, it to ‘surround our home with love’.

Krzysztof Krzysztofiak is the registered manager of the care home, which only opened last month.

He said: “We hope that our local community will support us in ‘surrounding our home with love’ at Christmas time.

“We are all excited for our first Avocet House Christmas. The pandemic has meant we have had to re-think how we do things, but this has been a positive experience and we have come up with some amazing ideas for the most magical time of year.

“The outside tree is our first community connection and is to be an annual event that we will look forward to every year.”
