A PLAY written by a budding bard from Boston High School has been shortlisted in a national competition.
Generation Lost, by 17-year-old Anna Slevin, has beat competition from 175 other entries to become a runner-up in the competition.
As a result of being shortlisted, Anna’s play will be performed at the National Theatre in London with the other shortlisted plays.
Mark Londesborough, of the National Theatre, said: “We hope that hearing professional actors make their words come alive on stage will inspire them to keep writing in the future.”
The play, which is about a woman who gets stuck in her flat and cannot get to work, will be performed with other shortlisted plays at the theatre tomorrow (Thursday).
