Councillors have said they would like to pass plans for 419 homes in Fishtoft...but raised concerns and said they still wanted to iron out some of the details.

Boston Borough Council’s planning committee met at the Municipal Buildings this afternoon to run the rule over two schemes lodged for either side of Toot Lane - 340 to the west of the road from S Budge and Co and 79 to the east from Lealand Homes,

Councillors have said they are ‘minded to grant’ the houses, but want the plans to come back to the November meeting so that ideas for extra uses for a children’s centre site near to Hawthorn Tree Primary School can be explored.

A children’s centre will form part of the scheme regardless - but it remains to be seen which side of the road it will go on.

Concerns were raised at the meeting about the impact on traffic from two large developments – and whether the area has the infrastructure to cope.
