Council leader confirms that the Assembly Rooms have been sold - subject to contracts

DETAILS of the purchase of Boston’s historic Assembly Rooms are still under wraps, however, it has been revealed the building has now been sold ‘subject to contracts being sorted’.

Boston Borough Council’s Conservative cabinet excluded press and public from the agenda item on Wednesday, on the grounds that the discussion involved the likely disclosure of exempt information.

However, council leader Peter Bedford confirmed the historic building had been bought, subject to the paperwork being completed.
