A licensing meeting set to discuss whether a planned grocery store on Carlton Road, in Boston, can sell alcohol is set to take place on January 15.

The meeting, which takes place at 10am, was originally reported to be taking place on February 15 - however, this was incorrect.

The application has seen petitions of 907 supporters online and 696 hard copy signatures submitted by Stephen Shaw, who has owned the butchers shop directly opposite 100 Carlton Road.

Matt Warman has also taken the fight against the licence application at 100 Carlton Road to parliament and called for a debate into the ‘cumulative impact of businesses’.

Applicant Natalia Vincukova, 41, believes the higher price range she will offer will not be attractive to those committing anti-social acts due to drink.
