Slow moving vehicles will be transporting a new footbridge into Boston along the A17 early on Sunday morning.

Highways chiefs say slow moving vehicles will be setting off with the replacement £750,000 structure from Newark at about 7am to try to minimise traffic disruption.

Engineers say that with a police escort they could be in Boston by 8am, but should definitely arrive in the town by midday.

The vehicles will be coming from the A17 at Newark, joining the A16 northbound, then Liquorpond Street, Queen Street, West Street and Lawrence Lane, where it will stay behind the White Hart before being installed over the next few weeks.

It should be ready to use on February 21.
