A police chief is celebrating after a temporary promotion has put him in charge of a large proportion of Lincolnshire.
Former Chief Insp of Boston Paul Timmins is now the new temprorary Super Intendent for Boston, South Holland and East Lindsey.
Mr Timmins said: “I have had the privilege to work in the east for the past four years and am excited to be able to continue to do so in a new role.
“I am looking forward to building stronger relationships with colleagues and partners across East Lindsey, Boston and South Holland. But my biggest joy will be the pleasure of leading policing in service to the public of Lincolnshire across the east.
“We have strong community support and I aim to maintain that fantastic relationship with the public.”
Mr Timmins was congratulated on Twitter by East Lindsey temporary Chief Insp Jim Tyner who wrote: “Congratulations to @C_InspTimmins who starts as Temp Superintendent for Boston, South Holland & East Lindsey. Well done Paul”
Mr Timmins replacement as Chief Insp for Boston and South Holland is Deborah Clark.
