Faith volunteers from different communities visited Carlton Road Academy, in Boston, recently for its ‘Religion and Belief Roadshow’.

The St Philip’s Centre put on a series of interactive exercises designed to help children learn about different faiths and beliefs, including Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.

Pupils investigated various stalls displaying religious artefacts, pictures and symbols. They also tasted different foods and tried on items of cultural clothing such as turbans. As part of the day children were invited to sign a giant card which was then presented to Carlton Road Academy for display. D

ignitaries who visited the event included school governors, the Mayor of Boston Coun Paul Kenny and the deputy director at the St Philip’s Centre Riaz Ravat.
