RAF Coningsby will exercise its right as Freedom holders and march through Boston town centre.
The Freedom Parade will take place on Thursday, May 16 and will begin at 3pm near WH Smith in Strait Bargate.
Mayor of Boston, Coun Colin Brotherton, and Commanding Officer of RAF Coningsby, Group Captain Stringer, will inspect the parade.
It will then march off from Strait Bargate, turning around the Silver Street mini roundabout, back through Strait Bargate and around the side of St Botolph’s Church.
Several town centre roads will have to close for the parade.
The Market Place will remain open, but Bank Street will be closed between 1pm to 4pm and access to the delivery area (outside Marks and Spencer) and around the side of the St Botolph’s will be denied during this time.
Wide Bargate, from the loading bay area next to the end of the precinct to the Post Office, will be closed from 6am to 4pm.
No vehicles will be able to park in the area at that time. The Into Town Bus Service will still operate as normal during the day except between 2 pm and 3.30 pm.
