A video sent to the Skegness Standard has captured the moment a seagull takes a piece of food from the hand of a reader.

Skegness resident James Hardaker caught the moment while out feeding the birds.

He said: “I was feeding the seagulls at the boating lake and one of them decided to be brave and do this.”

He added that despite stories about vicious seagulls circulating earlier this year ‘this one was very gentle and precise as you can see’.
