Road collision causes fuel spill

Sleaford fire crews attended a road collision on Sellwood Court industrial estate in Sleaford, off East Road this morning (Monday).

Firefighters received the call at 9.25am and used zorb granules to soak up a fuel leak caused by the collision.

Sleaford fireifghters later attended a vehicle on fire on Mareham Lane at just after 1pm today.

A fire service spokesman said the dashboard and engine compartment were damaged by the flames.

Crew members wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The spokesman said fire investigators believe it to have been caused by an electrical fault within the dashboard.
