Rotary club helps to light up African village

Boston St Botolph Rotary Club has donated £600 to provide solar lights for a fishing and farming community in the Gambia.

The lights will help the security, education and economic development of the village.

Each recipient of a light will pay a small fee each week to a village committee until they save funds to buy more lights.

The amount raised by the club has been matched by Rotary International.
