AROUND 70 people gathered on the beach at Anderby Creek recently to witness two youngsters being baptised by being submerged into the sea.
Jessica Lisle, 16, and Isaac McHenry, 11, had decided it was time to take the step.
Jess said: “We don’t have to be perfect, but God still wants us to live for him.”
The service was conducted by the Vicar of Holy Trinity Church the Rev Simon Dowson.
He said: “The big difference between being baptised in the sea as a youth as opposed to being baptized as a baby in church is that it makes us think about the significance of the event.”
