Several services to remember those who fought and died for their country are taking place throughout the borough on Remembrance Sunday.
The services are as follows:
Act of Remembrance, 11am at Boston war memorial, Wide Bargate.
Civic service in the Stump at 11.30am.
Holy Trinity Church, Spilsby Road, Boston, 10.30am service.
St Nicolas Church, Skirbeck, Fishtoft Road, 9.30am Act of Remembrance and requiem mass for war dead.
Fishtoft, 10.45am church service, with 11am Act of Remembrance at the war memorial.
Kirton, 11am, Act of Remembrance at war memorial, then service in St Peter and Paul Church.
Wrangle, 10.45am Act of Remembrance at war memorial, then service in St Mary & Nicholas Church.
Friskney, 10am service in All Saints’ Church.
Kirton Holme, 9.30am service.
Brothertoft, 10.45am service.
Sibsey, 10.50am Act of Remembrance at the war memorial, then service in St Margaret’s Church.
Carrington, 2.30pm service at the war memorial.
Frithville, 3pm service at war memorial.
Langrick, 3pm church service, then Act of Remembrance at war memorial.
Leverton, 9.30am Act of rRmembrance at war memorial.
Butterwick, 10.45am service in St Andrew’s Church.
Freiston, 2.45pm service in St James’ Church.
Stickford, 10.45am short service at the war memorial, followed by a service in church.
All seats are now taken for a presentation event at Boston College to commemmorate 100 years since the start of the First World War. This takes place on Tuesday evening.
