Council chiefs are saying it will have been a ‘very busy’ day for polling station staff today as voters turnout to choose their General Election 2015 candidate for Boston and Skegness.
A Boston Borough Council spokesman said acting returning officer Phil Drury had been out all morning visiting polling stations.
Mr Drury said: “They were doing very brisk business and all the signs are that it will be a very busy day for polling station staff.
“Voters have until 10pm tonight to cast their votes when the polling stations will then close.”
Boston and Skegness election staff will work through the night to count the votes for the Parliamentary election and then the Boston Borough Council election and finally the three contested parish councils in the borough.
