Free food was being handed out in Boston Market Place on Thursday as part of Langar Week which encourages community integration and public education on the Sikh faith. Jasveer Singh of the Sikh Press Association said Boston was chosen as one of the places seen as divided post Brexit.
He said: “We were pleasantly surprised to find Boston was nothing like the image portrayed in the media.
“The people were warm and very interested in speaking to us. People that were Christians, atheists and from all backgrounds took their time out to speak to us, often not even wanting any pizza, just wanting a chat. We want to thank the people of Boston for being so hospitable.”
