Small addition to nation’s economy

LINCOLNSHIRE has come fourth from bottom in a new study measuring regional contributions to the UK economy.

On average, the county added £14,485 per head to the economy in 2008, compared to a UK average of £20,541.

West Wales and The Valleys was bottom on £12,860 and Inner London top on £60,686.

The Office For National Statistics study did show, however, a 2.8 per cent growth per head in the county’s output in 2007.
