A CELEBRATORY edition of the Boston Standard will go on sale tomorrow to mark 100 years of the paper.
The Standard first hit the newsstands on July 6, 1912 and the team has put together a 32-page souvenir supplement for tomorrow’s edition to commemorate its landmark anniversary.
The pull-out contains interviews with former staff members, covers the paper’s history and contains a special message to employees and readers from HM The Queen.
The centenary edition also contains a number of birthday offers for readers - with chance to snap up a free biscuit, cinema ticket and milkshake as well as money off special edition sausages and burgers.
The Standard team has also put together a magazine looking at Boston in the last 100 years - available for £2 with a coupon in the paper.
Staff will also be on hand on Boston market, handing out goody bags and selling copies of the paper and magazine.
On Sunday, the celebrations will culminate with a special variety show at Blackfriars Theatre that will raise cash for the venue and the Butterfly Hospice. Tickets cost £3 and are on sale now.
